I enjoyed your coverage, and largely agreed. I was actively rooting against Korea, and so I can see my putting on the tin hat of reality show scripting. But I do think the challenges were fairly uniformly better and fairer than prior seasons and far less prone to “whoever has the most mass wins”. I also think that some of the prompted commentary was too much in the direction of “hey, look at that this thing which is happening. Wow, who’d of thought that this obvious thing that would happen, and that they told us would happen, is happening!”

Haha I wonder if that’s because so much of the commentary was in English this time, even apart from Team Australia. While I feel like I’ve mostly adapted to the rhythms of Physical: 100 (with the endless, cascading replays), the editor could be always more motivated. And yet, Katelyn said that they cut out the mini game that took place between female contestants. Maybe take out some of the replays and the obvious commentary and make room for that!
